If you want to catch a glimpse of the models and the fashionistas you will typically find them in the 1st, 3rd, 4th, 7th, 8th, and 16th arrondissements. The Grand Palais, Palais Galliera, the Eiffel Tower and nearby Champs des Mars, Place des Vosges, Tuileries Garden near the Louvre, Palais Royal Garden, Hotel de Ville, Palais de Tokyo, and Pompidou are usually safe bets if you want to join the paparazzi, as well as designer ateliers in the Marais neighborhood.

End of an Era

This season we say goodbye to two world renowned Creative Directors- Sarah Burton at Alexander McQueen and Gabriella Hearst at Chloe. This will be the the last collection for both Creative Directors. Burton took the helm from the late Alexander McQueen 13 years ago and has been at the brand a total of 26 years.

Welcome Back

SS24 sees a return to Paris for Carven and Mugler after a short absence. Mugler was last seen at Paris fashion week for Fall 2022 and Carven in Fall 2018.

Newcomers

Two key newcomers to note are Peter Do and Casablanca. Peter recently debuted his collection at New York Fashion Week as Creative Director of Helmut Lang. This week we will see his debut his namesake label scheduled for a digital show on Sept. 26.

Designer Faves

While it’s hard to pick a favorite among the vast amount of designers showing at Fashion week, some of the hot tickets include Valentino, Victoria Beckham and Saint Laurent.

Fashion Hijack!

Scheduled for September 27th is the Balmain Spring 2024 runway show. However, Balmain’s show took an unexpected turn when Olivier Rousteing revealed on Instagram that over 50 pieces from the collection were stolen after the driver was “hijacked” by a group of people. Surprisingly so, Rousteing is still planning on showing as planned. “We are redoing everything but this is so so disrespectful,” he shared on Instagram.

Paris Fashion Week begins September 25th and ends October 3rd. Full schedule here.
