London Fashion Week Is Here! But What Can We Expect From The Shows This Year?

Mark your calendars because London Fashion Week Spring 2024 begins on the 15th of September! The runway shows continue until the 19th of September when they hand the baton over to Milan. We’re excited to see what London has in store for us, as well as all the incredible events around the city that you can attend- and better yet, some of them are free!

Scroll down for our round up of what to expect…

Location

Catwalk shows will be held at various independent locations across London. But if you’re looking for the key hubs around the city, head to Somerset House where you’ll find several shows and exhibitions- it’s also AMAZING for people watching. The BFC NEWGEN location is at the Old Selfridges Hotel. To check out the full London Fashion Week schedule, click here.

Live Streaming

For the past few years, some designers have provided us with the opportunity to watch their shows from the comfort of our own homes! Many of the shows will be live- streamed on multiple channels. Check out londonfashionweek.co.uk, click on ‘schedule’ then ‘digital’ and you will get a full list of all the digital shows you can tune into. Also check out Vogue.com and the social media pages of your favorite designers.

Ones To Watch

While Burberry is of course not new, Daniel Lee- the Creative Director is. It’s only his second season at the helm of Britain’s most beloved heritage label and word on the street is that this a show you do not want to miss. Newer designers we should be keeping our eyes on include Chet Lo and Supriya Lele.

Fashion Faves

Over the past few years it has become clear which brands everyone looks forward to seeing the most at LFW. Simone Rocha certainly knows how to put on a show, and with feminine historical references throughout her collections she’s one of the stand out designers we’re all dying to see each season. Molly Goddard and KNWLS have also become firm favorites with the fashion pack desperate to get a front row seat at their shows.

Exhibition Alert

Rebel: 30 years of London fashion opens to coincide with fashion week, at the design museum in London. Sponsored by Alexander McQueen, the show shines a ligjt on the cohort of 300 designers who have been supported by the British Fashion Council’s NEWGEN scheme over the last 30 years. The exhibition opens Saturday 16th of Sept and ends 11th Feb 2024. Get your tickets here.
